Hello ,
I have been thinking a lot about my why with membership and remembering the reasons I created ISH in this way. Much of this came from my experience in the conventional medicine model, looking at the barriers and from there creating a new way.
I invite you to reflect on your experience in ISH Membership. Where can you uplevel? What is serving you? What is not serving you?
Choosing into the container of membership is a catalyst to healing!
Get the most out of membership!
ISH Membership is active, an opportunity to set clear goals/intentions, work collaboratively through support and accountability. ISH Membership offers opportunities to move the trajectory of health towards healing and optimizing health. AND like anything we do, you are driving this outcome, you are at the center of your life.
Membership is different than the traditional model where you see a practitioner, leave with meds and instructions and then meet again 3-6 months later, often times losing site of your intentions along the way. Our default patterns kick in if we do not have clear goals, support and systems in place to create the life we want. This is much easier in community and collaboration. Membership is created with all these things in mind.
Below are 5 ways to uplevel your experience in ISH Membership.
1. APPOINTMENTS Regular monthly visits with Lynn and Kim - check in, course correct plan and stay on track.
2. READ YOUR VISIT SUMMARY - after every visit, I personalize a visit summary for you that includes things to focus on until our next visit. Brick by brick the house is built. If you find your self not reading and implementing the strategies from our visit together, this is the # 1 thing to start with to keep you on track.
3. CHOSE 1-3 things from your visit summary to work on, implement, continue until our next visit. Write these down on a post-it or in a journal so you are reminded of the tools to support you in showing up to yourself.
4. COMMUNITY - come to group visit in person or zoom. Meet other community members, learn something, enjoy a yummy snack and connect. Weekly opportunity to tap into your why and your health intentions.
5. WEEKLY EMAIL - Read the weekly email, this keeps you connected and engaged in community, education and what's happening at ISH
Intend, Attend, Tend,

The gut microbiome has been linked to health and disease, but here’s a new study that found the microbiome does not function alone!
Actually, it is a combined effect of changes in the microbiome along with factors like nutrient intake and body mass index that work together to determine disease risk.
This means YOU have incredible power over your health destiny! |

💡Pro Health Tip |
|
Your gut microbiome is working on your behalf to keep you healthy all day every day. Here are some things you can do for it!
🥗 Eat Microbiome-Friendly Foods
The Mediterranean Diet, fermented foods, fiber-rich foods, and polyphenols (colorful compounds in plant foods) have all been found to benefit the microbiome.
🏃♂️ Get Regular Exercise
Exercise (as long as it is not training to exhaustion) benefits the diversity of the gut microbiome.
💤 Honor Your Circadian Rhythm
Unnatural disruptions in the sleep-wake cycle or short duration of sleep may alter the gut microbiome and intestinal health.
The benefit of doing these things?
Better digestion, stronger immune system, healthier metabolism, sharper brain function, and overall wellness.

🔍 Did You Know? |
|
The gut microbiome is the most widely known, but we actually have 5 microbiomes:
▪️ Gut
▪️ Skin
▪️ Oral
▪️ Vaginal
▪️ Respiratory
Each of these has their own distinct composition of microorganisms to keep us healthy and balanced.
And that means that all of these systems ☝️can be affected by things we do to support or disrupt our microbiome.
