Hello ,
What are you doing ...
For instance we just got a puppy!
Yes, if you look at this from a logical only standpoint it does not make sense (and believe me we looked at all those points) But the amount of JOY this little sweet pea has brought into our family is insurmountable. (scroll down to meet Schatzi).
Disclaimer, this is not to say everyone should go out and get a puppy! Y'all would not be very happy with me 🤣
Frivolity
fri·vol·i·ty/frəˈvälədē/noun
- lack of seriousness; lightheartedness."a night of fun and frivolity"
Y'all life is NOW!
If you find yourself waiting until _________ (fill in the blank) to do what lights you up.
I challenge you and invite you to start now and remember consistent small steps move you quicker and more sustainably to the life you desire. Let me rephrase consistent daily steps curate the life you desire right now!
And perhaps you begin with adding more play, flow and frivolity into your moments making up your days and see where that leads.
Be kind, take care of each other,
~Lynn 🌈

Yoga Reduces Discomforts of Menopause
|
Are you a woman between the ages of 40 and 60? A recent study found that 60 minutes of yoga 2x a week may reduce discomforts of menopause—including physical, psychological, and urogenital concerns.
Because of declining hormones at menopause, exercise becomes more important than ever to support bone health, weight, mood, sleep, and more.
Yoga has been the most impactful practice throughout my life. I can honestly say that through the many stages, transitions and daily mundane activities yoga has supported me through and through. The study referenced, talks about 60 min 2 x a day, don't let that stop you, laying your mat out and doing a few poses a day has a profound impact on the rest of your moments.
Movement, breath, nervous system support and connection with your body is free and available!
Get you some yoga!!
Not sure where to start?
Grab a friend go to your local yoga studio for a beginner's class
There are many free online intro practices, I like Yoga with Adriene for all levels and a great place to explore getting started or expanding your current practice.

Not All Estrogens Are Equal
|
October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and you have probably heard that estrogen fuels breast cancer risk.
Of note this is a much bigger conversation and important to be personalized to each person. Thankfully more research and light is being shone on how to best assess women for risks and benefits of hormone replacement therapies to support optimal health.
But it’s important to know that not all estrogens pose the same level of risk. Our bodies naturally produce different types of estrogens and also convert them into many different metabolites.
What does that mean?
Our bodies produce hormones (or we take them when needed, use them and then need to process and get rid of them. Check out this great hormone infographic to learn more.
How we metabolize estrogen influences our risk.
Some of the nutrients we can use to support healthy estrogen metabolism include cruciferous veggies, DIM (diindolylmethane), calcium-d-glucarate, resveratrol, and probiotics.
What is the best way to do this?
Check out this great resource from Dr Deanna Minich for all the details on hormone health foods!
Healthy Hormone Foods
Decisions related to breast cancer risk and estrogens need to be 1:1 and personalized, so if you want to better understand how to optimize your hormones and reduce your risk for disease down the road, we can help.
