📰 In the News

A new nationwide study in the US suggests pesticides may be the new smoking when it comes to cancer risk. 


This study looked at pesticide use across 3,143 US counties and cancer rates from trusted sources like the NIH and CDC.


👉  The main finding was that pesticides can increase cancer risk, sometimes on par with or worse than smoking.


What can we do? 


If avoidance is not realistic, we can focus on supporting the body’s detoxification processes. This is something we do with many patients

Feel the stress of the holidays starting to descend upon you? Remember this tip for an instant stress reset:


🖐️5-Finger Breathing:


Hold one hand in front of you, palm facing up.

Use your other hand to

trace up and down your fingers—

inhaling on the “up”

and exhaling on the “down.”

~ Repeat until you feel centered and calm ~

🔍 Did You Know?

Nutrition can have a powerful effect on how rapidly your skin ages. This is not an overnight quick fix, but your skin will thank you in time. 


Once you check off the basics (water, protein, vegetables, and healthy fats), then you can explore targeted nutrient supplements for the skin. Some of my favorites are collagen, antioxidants, and omega-3s. 


Just remember that if you jump to the supplements without first having the foundations of a skin-healthy diet in place, you won’t get the results you deserve.
