Hello ,

How are you moving through your moments, days and weeks?

Running, walking, sprinting, skipping or savoring?

Is this pace  you are moving, creating the life you desire?

If so, great, keep it up.

If not, try something new.  Taking time to pause and assess matters!

YOU Matter.

By pausing even just a moment, you employ agency or choice on how you want to proceed and move through your moments.

"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom”  ~ Victor Frankl

LEARNING

In the News

Coffee is a known source of antioxidants and linked with many health benefits—from heart health to memory to mood.

Now a new study links coffee consumption to specific changes in the gut microbiome. ☕️

While it’s unclear if these microbiome changes directly impact health, this study shows just how much a single food can influence our gut. It’s a fun reminder that even a single food or drink can make a big difference!

Pro Health Tip

Only 48% of Americans consume the recommended amount of magnesium, but it’s essential for healthy blood pressure, stress management, and sleep.

Here are some magnesium-packed meal ideas:

  • Power Snack: pumpkin seeds + almonds + chocolate + banana

  • Salmon Dinner: Salmon  + brown rice + spinach + avocado

  • Veggie Bowl: Black beans + sweet potato + cashews + avocado

It’s hard to get the recommended 320 mg for women and 420 mg for men with processed foods but easy with healthy, whole foods!

Did You Know?

Research shows that low-grade chronic inflammation can trigger the formation of atherosclerotic plaques, which are responsible for heart attacks and strokes.

It’s been called  “inflamm-aging.”

So to lower your cardiovascular risk, we need to start by tackling inflammation.

Aside from increased blood pressure, some other signs of chronic inflammation can be joint stiffness, muscle aches, skin rashes, or brain fog.

I don’t recommend self-diagnosis, but  if you want to get to the root cause of your ailments, we can help.
