New research shows that Monday stress leaves a biological imprint that can linger for months.
I find this fascinating, did you read last week's email about Mondays and the lens you are looking through? If this is true for you and you notice increase stress or sympathetic drive at the start of the week, Monday, get curious, play with ways to settle your system in anticipation of the perceived stress and look through a different lens. You might just like the view!
In a study of 3,500+ older adults, researchers found:
Those who felt anxious on Mondays had 23% higher cortisol levels in their hair
The effect lasted up to 2 months
Even retirees were pre-programmed to experience Monday stress
This may help explain why heart attacks spike by 19% on Mondays
At ISH, we have powerful tools to assess and balance the stress response.

Pro Health Tip
|
Natural supplements don’t shut down inflammation like some medications do, but they support the body’s natural regulatory pathways.
For example:
Curcumin (from turmeric) supports the body’s antioxidant defenses.
Ginger helps maintain normal inflammatory pathways.
Quercetin helps stabilize mast cells, which can be activated by allergens.
Omega-3s (EPA & DHA) help promote a balanced inflammatory response.
Magnesium plays a role in muscle and nerve relaxation.
Supplements can interact with each other and with medications, so it’s best to work with a qualified practitioner.
This is where ISH shines.
Always use caution with taking new supplements.

Did You Know?
|
At ISH, we look beyond wear and tear to uncover hidden drivers of chronic pain, like:
Neuroinflammation: This is the brain-body connection. Emotional stress and poor sleep can amplify pain signals in the brain.
Poor gut health: A disrupted gut lining can translate to inflammation throughout the body.
Hormonal imbalance: Cortisol and progesterone help regulate pain, but stress can throw them off.
Once we understand the root cause, we can integrate nervous system support, gut-healing foods, hormone-nourishing nutrients, and other holistic strategies.
