Hello ,

As we move through the foundational lifestyle factors we are on to movement! There are so many ways to bring movement into your day AND this is critical to Whole Health and Vitality!

Recently, I've been reminded how easy it is to believe movement has to be another item on the to-do list. I caught myself thinking just this week, "I don't have time to exercise today." It was one of those days when every hour seemed spoken for.

Then I remembered what I often preach to y'all,  that movement and exercise aren't the same thing. Instead of skipping it altogether, I took a short walk, stretched for a few minutes between patients, and spent some time in the garden that evening. None of it was remarkable, but by the end of the day my body and mind felt different.

Our bodies are designed to move, and they respond to consistency far more than intensity. A walk after dinner, carrying groceries, playing with your kids or grandkids, tending the garden, or simply choosing the stairs all count. Each is a small signal of vitality to your body.

This week, instead of asking, "Did I get a workout in?" try asking, "How did I move my body today?" Sometimes that small shift in perspective is all it takes to build a foundation that lasts.  Brick by brick a house is built .....

Movement

Your Body Was Designed to Move

Your body was designed to move, push, pull, and carry. And maintaining that capacity, by building and preserving muscle, is one of the most important things you can do for your long term health. We're talking about better metabolic function, stronger bones, improved balance, more energy, and greater independence as we age.

The best part? It is never too late to begin.

You don't need a gym or heavy equipment to get started. Bodyweight resistance training (squats, wall push-ups, step-ups) builds real strength and can be done anywhere. Starting simple is not starting small. It's starting smart.

If you're not sure where to begin, working with a professional to build a safe, sustainable routine is always a great idea. We're happy to help point you in the right direction.

The Beginner Bodyweight Workout: 20-Minute Routine To Do At Home or Anywhere!
