Hi ,

September is here!!

Wow! It was a full week for me!

The week was bookended by supporting my girls.  I spent the weekend with Lily in Boulder as she starts her last semester at CU before heading to Cairo Egypt in the spring. Upon return to Durango, I supported my daughter, Jo after knee surgery and move into helping her with her recovery.  All the while creating content for my upcoming course and supporting ISH current members!

Why am I sharing this?

Because whew, I was in a sympathetic state all week, survival and getting it done.  It is good to be able to drop into that when we need but what I noticed is that most of my personal practices went out the door! By Friday I was whipped out, poor sleep, making poor food choices, joint pain, scattered, snappy with my family.......

Always lessons to be had......
Where could I have chosen into reset, restoration and care of myself as I was in the whirlwind of "getting it done".  

Below are my reflections (sound familiar ;))

  • Hydration drink clear clean water
  • 5 min pause at the beginning and end of each day - breath work
  • Ask for support :)
  • Gargle after brushing teeth twice a day (Vagal toning exercise)
  • Realistic To do lists
  • More Hydration
  • Walk outside and look up morning and night notice the bigness of the world around (perspective)
  • Daily Green smoothie, easy, nutrient dense and hydrating
